OVUL is a conceptual product that explores how an affordable personal health device for women could disrupt the current market. The chosen product is a new form of real-time Ovulation Tracking with the goal of improving the accuracy of the Billings Method by digitizing the logging process. Known for it's impressive accuracy when performed correctly, the Billings Method has unmet and outsized potential.
I was hired by Enara Health in San Mateo, California, to enhance the user experience for both patients and healthcare providers. I led user research by conducting interviews with patients and providers, which informed my later ideation and development process for Enara Health’s medical app. The app serves as a central tool in the telehealth journey for patients, facilitating daily interactions with providers to support their dietary goals. With multiple logging features and smart device integrations, the app aims to simplify the process of building healthy habits and accessing medical support. Reflectiv is a conceptual smart device with a clear ethos of calming the busy mind and embracing mindfulness. Born from a design thinking exercise, Reflectiv is a luxury product that explores a new kind of smart device. A device for peace of mind. Something that sounds almost oxymoronic, could a smart device provide the right atmosphere for introspection? Devices today come jam packed with capabilities, computing power but also with many unwanted distractions and opportunities to consume content. While useful, smart phones and tablets are not about focus. Reflectiv is a thought exercise of what a practical luxury device could look like for those who need a serious dedicated tool for writing and minful reflection. No distractions.
A ceramic project that merges modern and ancient fabrication processes. This personal project was done while contemplating the universal tie that all cultures once had to clay and is an homage to ancient technology. Most surprisingly, ceramic can function as a low tech passive water cooler if the right porosity is achieved.
